Welcome to the Old-time Base Ball Taskforce. This subproject, a branch of the Baseball WikiProject, is a task force devoted to improving articles of baseball players who played before 1900.

While surfing Wikipedia, I noticed that articles about players who played before 1900 aren't always as good as modern ballplayers' articles. I feel that these articles are important, since this is where our national pastime originated.

[edit] Articles that need improvement

Note: Just because an article is short doesn't necessarily mean it is incomplete. Information on pre-1900 baseball players can be hard to find, so a short article may actually contain all the information about that player one can possibly obtain.
