The structure of an alliance page should be as follows:

• Airline Alliance infobox
• Introduction - summary of the alliance, including stated goals, interesting info, etc.
• Membership History - provide information about the history of the alliance in a timeline format
• Members
  • Full members - list of voting members with web sites
  • Regional/Associate members - also include web sites and name of sponsor
  • Former members - airlines that left the alliance, include year of exit
  • Future members - airlines that have been accepted but have not yet joined
  • Possible Future Members - airlines in negotiations to join or appear to be likely candidates
• Premium Status
  • Lowest tier - describe benefits and requirements to gain lowest elite level
  • Remaining tiers in ascending order
• Destinations - link to destinations page
• See also - any related articles
• External links - alliance's web site plus other related sites

Star Alliance provides a good example.

[edit] Destinations

In general, destinations should follow the format used on regular airline articles. However, due to the very large number of destinations served by alliances, splitting up regions makes the list more legible and easier to search. So, it should be as follows:

North America
  United States, Canada, & Mexico - do not include territories located off the mainland but do include Hawaii
  Bermuda and the Caribbean - this should include US and European territories
  Central America
South America
Europe
  Western Europe
  Central Europe
  Eastern Europe (including all of Russia) - put Turkey here, not in the Middle East
Africa
  North Africa - include European territories
  West Africa
  Central & East Africa
  Southern Africa
Asia
  Central Asia
  Southwest Asia (Middle East)
  South Asia
  East Asia
  Southeast Asia
Oceania
  Australia & New Zealand
  Pacific Islands - include US, European, and Australian territories

• For large countries with many destinations, divide into states/provinces or regions. For countries such as the US and Canada, with several airports in each state or province, divide as such. For countries such as Brazil, with several destinations per region but not as many destinations per state, divide into regions. The United Kingdom should be divided into England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
• Territories should be listed as separate countries on the continent they are located with the name of the parent country in parenthesis if not obvious from the name. If several territories are grouped together with a common name (e.g. The Azores or British Overseas Territories), use that name as the "country", and subdivide into the individual territories.
• When subdividing island groups into individual territories, place the name of the city on the same line as the island if the island has only one major city (see below for example).
• Countries such as The People's Republic of China should be written and sorted as "China, People's Republic of"
• Cities with multiple airports should have one airport listed per line.
• Airline hubs should be listed next to the airport, not the city. The format should be Hub or Secondary hub - [[Airline Article|Airline Common Name]]

• Continents and subcontinents should be ordered as described above. Countries, states, provinces, cities, and airport names should be ordered alphabetically. Regions should be placed in geographical order from North to South and West to East.
