[edit] Torrington census box
I don't know what you mean by "wierd" or "off" I purposefully made it thin to take up less space. I don't like the way the "edit" functions rub up against the left side so closely, but I don't see any solution for that. It could go elsewhere on the page. Feel free to fiddle with it or move it, or if you give me a more specific suggestion, I might have a go at it. Best, Noroton 02:49, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I doubt there's a solution to that. You might go to some help desk. I just don't know what to do about it or whether anything can be done. As a long box, it's inevitable that it will come up against an "edit" function, unlike most boxes or pictures. Best, Noroton 03:45, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

- I think that's fine. You know what's odd? The box above it doesn't have the same problem at all. You might try contacting the editor who put up that box and see if anything can be done. I try to place these things in a way that's not disruptive. Ideally these boxes should go on a "History of...." page, where there tend to be fewer other pictures. I thought of recreating the box as four columns across instead of two, but without a thicker line in the middle to separate the two columns, I think it might look confusing. Yet another option is splitting the box up, with "Population in Colonial Times" or "Population in the 19th century" as headers, but I think that only works well with a bigger history section. What you did looks fine. Noroton 04:01, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
