I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

[edit] Additional tips
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
[edit] License tagging for Image:Aintree.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Aintree.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:04, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Long Beach.gif
What did you use to create Image:Long Beach.gif? BlankVerse 08:27, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- It was good to see the map added to the Long Beach Grand Prix article.
- Because the Long Beach Grand Prix is a road course, it would be nice to see the extensions (in a lighter or contrasting color) or the roads that are used to make up the course.
- I'm not sure if the map would end up too cluttered, but it would also be interesting to see the locations of the immediate tourist attractions (the Long Beach Sports Arena, Long Beach Convention Center, and Long Beach Aquarium), and maybe the shoreline to show how close to the ocean the Grand Prix is.
- Also: when you leave a message, you should 'sign' you posts my adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. BlankVerse 10:05, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- Sorry BlankVerse I'm new at conversating through discussion, so that's why I forgot the tildes. I'll try to make a more detailed pic of Long beach. Besides, everytime I replace an older pic by a new one (with exact the same name) the original pic doesn't change. Even if I clean up my cache. Do you know how this is possible?regards Pino 11:17, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- The current picture is good enough to give Wikipedia readers an idea of what the course is like. My more detailed suggestions are just a wish list based on the fact that I live not too far from the course. One other suggestion: IT would be nice if you could add something that shows the scale of the map. Looking at my Thomas Guide, it looks like east to west the course is roughly 3/4 mile wide and roughly 1/4 mile tall N-S.

- Although I've done a bunch of editing on the Wikipedia (almost 10,000 edits), I've not uploaded that many images, and have never tried to replace one. Were you going through the generic "Upload file" link that you can find in the toolbox on every Wikipedia page, or did you go to the Image:Long Beach.gif page and then use the "Upload a new version of this file" link near the bottom of the page?

- note: Although the ping-pong nature of replying back-and-forth can get a little confusing, it is usually best to reply on a user's talk page so that they will see the "You've got new messages" box. The rather small number of editors who like to keep conversations all in one place will usually tell you that is their preference. BlankVerse 12:16, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

- I checked, and everything looked okay. I even looked at your first upload for Image:Autodromo Nelson Piquet.gif, where it was definately upside down.

[edit] Eredivisie aanpassingen
SportsAddicted 14:38, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your requested edit reversion
Hi, I've attempted to revert your changes to FA Premier League 2006-07. Could you check to see if I've done what you expected. Cheers! Budgiekiller 12:36, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, glad to be of help. To do this yourself, head for the history tab at the top of the page you've editted, this should take you to here. You can then choose an older version of the page than the one you editted, in this case the version editted at 19:57 on October 3 by an anon IP editor. Clicking on the date will bring up the old version. Then edit the page. You will see a warning telling you that you're editing an old page and any subsequent edits made to it will be lost. Go ahead, adding a suitable comment in the Edit Summary (e.g. Revert own edits due to mistake) and Save Page. Job done! Let me know if you need any other help! Cheers.
