[edit] Bob Brinker

Someone is deleting content to the opposing view again on the Bob Brinker page. Any ideas? WikiHelperUSA 17:36, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

The only thing you can do is keep re-adding the link, as you've been doing, and then adding a vandalism warning on the vandal's talk page: User_talk:71.134.43.125. After a few warnings, he can be blocked from editing by an administrator. ॐ Priyanath 01:23, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, please see my proposal on the Bob Brinker Talk Page, Talk:Bob_Brinker, to resolve the edit warring going on. ॐ Priyanath 19:15, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I've put a notice at WP:ANI#POV_revert_and_blanking_war_at_Bob_Brinker to see if an admin is willing to mediate the dispute at Bob Brinker. Semi-protection of a page would prevent anonymous IP users from editing. I don't have the authority to clean up the mess there. You can add comments at that page yourself. I suggest reading some of the other notices there, to get an idea of what is, and isn't, appropriate there. Good luck. ॐ Priyanath 01:29, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Well, the issue seems to be regarding the Suite101 link. I see no good reason to link to Suite101 since the marketwatch article includes the desired information. I do know that the Suite101 has a small number of very vocal people. Among them is a newsletter writer, who is also the moderator of the investing portion of Suite101. I don't think it's right to direct people to a competitor of Brinker's for the opposing point of view. A competitor will be too biased. 71.111.136.3 03:20, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

I think your facts are a bit in error. It seems some who don't like all of Bob Brinker's tactics post at Suite101, including some of his competitors. I did a search of the site and found Bob Brinker Jr posted there also. It appears most of the people posting on the message boards like Bob Brinker and follow some of his advice. [edit] Honey’s Beehive Should Stay

Honey’s Bob Brinker Beehive Buzz is Neutral, covers vital information not published by Brinker and Should Stay so people researching Bob Brinker can find out what he doesn’t advertise.

Suite101 has forums for many investment writers and TV commentators. The site is supported by Google ads. Many of the people who have discussion forums there and have investment products for sale also participate; Lakshman Achuthan of ECRI (that sells a timing service), Jim Rogers, Don Wolanchuk, Bob Brinker Jr. and Roger Arnold are but five I can remember posting on the old or new site. Many lesser known people such as Kirk, Norm, Jas Jain, Bill Flanagan, Don Hays, etc. have forums there as well. They even have one for media darling Jim Cramer.

Suite101 also has many topics started by its readers to discuss what they want. Honey’s Bob Brinker Beehive Buzz is obviously one of those where “buzz” informs readers it is to discuss the latest “buzz” led by Honey. It is neutral and all are welcome to post there including Bob Brinker and Kirk. Why are some working so hard to cover up for Bob Brinker? WikiHelperUSA 14:18, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not report users for vandalism when they remove links per WP:EL

Please do not report other editors for vandalism when they remove links (such as your Suite101 links) that fail to meet WP:EL. That is not vandalism and false reports could lead you to being accused of making personal attacks. --A. B. 21:56, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
