- 2000: President Joseph Estrada became the first Philippine President to be impeached by the House of Representatives.
- 1948: President Elpidio Quirino assumed the presidency and took his oath of office two days after the death of former President Manuel Roxas.
- 1946: President Sergio Osmeña (in picture) refused to campaign for the upcoming elections, saying that the Filipino people knew of his record of 40 years of honest and faithful service.
- 1899: President Emilio Aguinaldo received a telegram from Gen. Antonio Luna ordering him to proceed to Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija for a meeting at the Cabanatuan Church Convent.
