Category:WikiProject Kent Citation needed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This category is part of the WikiProject Kent and Portal:Kent, showing pages where the {{FactKent}} template has been placed in an article
{{FactKent}} adds a request for a citation (source information).
Appearing as [citation needed], linking to the Citing sources Manual of Style page
used in the body of an article as a request for other editors to find citations: 1. to label a passage which is incomplete without a cited source of information 2. to label a quotation which lacks a citation
or if the whole article or section is missing references use
{{UnreferencedKent}}
This template also has one optional field, which permits the user to be specific in what needs to be cited. For instance, if the entire article needs to be cited, a user would enter {{UnreferencedKent}}; should they wish to be more specific on which section of the article needs to be cited, then the user could enter {{unreferenced|article's section called "Childhood"}}.
Leaving the argument undefined is acceptable, as it will show the default text listed on this template page. It can be helpful to include the date parameter for this template; order does not matter with respect to the above optional input. Both {{UnreferencedKent|section called "Childhood"|date=March 2007}} and {{UnreferencedKent|date=March 2007|section called "Childhood"}} will have the same result.
Adding this parameter sorts the article into subcategories of Category:Articles lacking sources and out of the parent category, allowing the oldest problems to be identified and dealt with first. If the date parameter is omitted a bot will add it later.
The {{UnreferencedKent}} template should be placed in the References section, using the code
==References== {{subst:footnotes}} {{UnreferencedKent}}
