Wigan Golf Club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wigan Golf Club, consists of an 18 hole parkland golf course with a magnificent 12th Century Manor Clubhouse. Only recently has this course been 18 hole, as for much of its 100 years plus history, the course was a well established 9 hole course. There are a few problems with the new holes however the course has much to offer the seasoned golfer and much to teach the newcomer. The moat surrounding the clubhouse has two pairs of exquisite black swans, which have remained at Wigan gold club for many years.

The course has a yardage of 6008, and the course record is but a 67 against a par of 70.

Honorary Life Members include H. R. H. Prince Andrew Duke of York
