Wide barbell curl

The wide barbell curl is a great exercise for the biceps, as close grip would be made more for to make the biceps stand taller, the wide grip would be to make the biceps appear thicker (wider). You cannot make a muscle wider or taller; muscles only get bigger. To increase the peak of the bicep you need to train the muscle underneath them.
