[edit] Subject matter

The article contains too much of the plot of Sleeping Beauty, which is more suitable for that article. This one should be on Carabosse. Also, the princess is not always named Aurora and so it is unsuitable to refer to her as such in the text. Goldfritha 04:40, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi and Welcome to Wikipedia Goldfritha! The whole point of starting a stub like this is than many others can add to, and improve, the page. Your contributions will be most welcome Giano 08:44, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
And the whole point of discussion pages is to discuss possible changes. Goldfritha 01:10, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
I fixed a bunch of it and tried to make it clear that the references are to a couple specific versions but the outline is usually the same. Please improve it.--Dmz5 07:03, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References

Having looked at both Grimm and Perrault, I found no evidence that the fairy godmother was named "Carabosse" in either story. Does anyone have a reference before I cut out those claims? Goldfritha 18:56, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Aurora

The princess is not "Aurora" in many versions. Since this article is about those versions, too, it is incorrect to refer to her as Aurora in the article. Goldfritha 18:59, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

"The princess" without any introduction leaves the reader wondering. In what version where the wicked fairy is given the name Carabosse, is the princess not Aurora? --Wetman 00:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
The article cites both Grimm, who called her "Little Briar Rose", and Perrault, who does not name the princess at all. She's the princess in Sleeping Beauty. Goldfritha 02:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
And while we're at it, she is not "Aurora" in "Sun, Moon, and Talia" -- she is, in fact, "Talia." Goldfritha 20:14, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually, Perrault does name a princess "Aurora" in Sleeping Beauty, but it is not Sleeping Beauty herself, but her daughter. Goldfritha 18:05, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Title

"Carabosse" is not a noteworthy figure apart from the figure of the "wicked fairy godmother". The article would be better focussed if it were retitled "wicked fairy godmother". Goldfritha 01:49, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I'm moving it. Goldfritha 22:57, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
