"Why I Love You So Much" is an R&B ballad written and produced by American songwriter Darryl Simmons for Monica's debut studio album, Miss Thang (1995). It was released as the album's third (fourth international) and final single on a double A-side with "Ain't Nobody" in the second quarter of 1995 (see 1995 in music). The song became Monica's fourth consecutive top ten hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with a peak position of number 9.
