Whose Body? is a 1923 novel by Dorothy L. Sayers (ISBN 0-380-39966-0), which introduced the character of Lord Peter Wimsey.
The novel begins with a telephone call to Wimsey from his mother, the Dowager Duchess of Denver, saying that the architect her vicar has hired to do some work on the church has just found a dead body in his bath, wearing nothing but a pair of pince-nez. Whose body is not the only mystery Lord Peter has to solve, however: Who done it? And why is the body unclothed?
