Whitwell railway station serves the village of Whitwell in Derbyshire, England. The station is on the Robin Hood Line between Nottingham and Worksop.

Monday to Saturdays, there is generally an hourly service northbound towards Worksop and southbound to Mansfield and Nottingham. There is no Sunday service

Being quite far out and built beside the quarry and Lafarge, Whitwell's very own piece of the Robin Hood line is actually quite run down (then again, most of the stops along the line are). It consists of just two platforms, the Nottingham bound one having to be reached by an extremely large foot-brigde which takes several mintues to navigate, avoiding the over growing folige and smashed light bulbs, safely. Though mostly abandoned during service hours, the stations shelters and car park become a homing group for local demons to graffiti and destroy, whilst being a good enough distance away from anyone caring in the community, to get into any hassle for it. The phone box installed in the shelter on Platform 1 has been ripped out of place and is no longer in use. A word of warning, it is not safe to venture here during the dark winter months after 5pm, in fact, any time of day, any season, it is recommended you take company or have a mobile availbe with the local authorities on speed dail.
