Extra-curricular programs include high class concert and marching band, a choir program, art classes, Spanish (from 7th grade), and athletics.

The district is led by Dennis Miller, superintendent of schools. The WISD school board is led by Randall Robinson, president; Darrell Crymes, vice president; and Jason Wade, secretary.
