Whitefriars Shopping Centre' is a shopping centre in Canterbury, East Kent.
[edit] Before Whitefriars
The Whitefriars Shopping Quater sits on the site of the former Multi Storey carpark and Ricemans department store. Following the demolition of these buildings a new multi storey carpark and Ricemans (Now Fenwicks) department stores were constructed.
The Big Dig took place underneath the site to try and find ancient remains.

The centres's main stores are Tesco, Marks and Spencer, Fenwicks, Boots and Next. Other chain stores at the centre are Virgin, Build-A-Bear Workshop, H. Samuel, Goldsmiths, Beeverbrooks, H&M, Zara, Esprit, Clarks, Republic LTD, Jane norman, Qube Shoes, Ernest Jones, River Island, USC, Sunglasses Hut International, Monsoon Stores, EAT., 3 Mobile and Clinton Cards. The Whitefriars Quater also includes the worlds first M&S Kitchen.

Whitefriars Shopping Centre is situated next door to the Canterbury Bus Station which contains links to Westwood Cross, Ashford, Bluewater and London. Cycles UK offers cycle hire around the city and is situated next to a Taxi rank. A park and ride system operates between three main suburban areas.
