White tennis balls
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
White tennis balls are classy, stylish, and preppy. They are supposed to look nice when you are you are wearing all whites. In the 20th century, White Tennis Balls, often unsullied by imprints naming a sporting goods company, were standard. However, near the turn of the 21st, they became very rare. They are often seen at country clubs, with older folks, and can be expensive. They are popularly used on grass courts. They are sold by only a few companies such as Whitetennisballs.com, Wilson, Slazenger, JPriceBath, and also can be found on eBay. USTA rules (p. 33) stipulate that balls can be either white or yellow (which mean that any other color besides white or yellow is not "legal" in a tournament.
The last major championship to use white tennis balls was Wimbledon.
