White Tiger (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Post-KISS Hair Metal band of former KISS guitarist Mark St. John. St. John wanted to start a project with musicians who were previously unheard of in the music business and along with St. John featured former Black Sabbath vocalist David Donato, St John's older brother and guitar technician during his time in KISS Michael Norton on bass, and drummer Brian James Fox.

The band whose Glam metal image and sound was somewhat similar to 80's-era KISS were dropped from their record label in later 1986 after executives saw no potential hit singles on their self titled debut album. In 1998 St. John was offered a contract with a small record label to record a new album with the band, which resulted in 1999's Raw.

Since the release of Raw and a few dates in the Los Angeles area nothing has been heard from the band and they are believed to have disbanded for good.

This band should not be confused with the band White Lion who were making waves in the same scene at the same time.

There was a popular New York City metro area bar band called White Tiger in the late 70's and early 80's. They were rivals to the more successful Twisted Sister. Not the same White Tiger as the one posted in here with Mark St John.
