White Scar Caves

White Scar Caves are a network of caves under Ingleborough hill in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the North of England.

Discovered in 1923 by two amateur geologists, Christopher Long and J.H. Churchill, it contains within it the Battlefield Cavern, one of the largest known cave chambers in Britain, at 90m long.

They are open as a popular visitor attraction.
