"Whisper" is a song by alternative rock band Evanescence featured on the Sound Asleep EP, Origin, their 2001-2002 demos, their debut Fallen and their live CD/DVD Anywhere But Home.

On the Origin album, the song "Origin" (a 35 second instrumental) is used as an intro for "Whisper".

The demo version of the song (usually referred to as "Whisper 2002") features an intro of its own, using the songs "Juliet's Requiem" and "O Verona" from the film William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet. This version is similar to the Fallen album version.

The choir vocals at the end of the Fallen version were performed by the Millennium Choir. The phrase being sung is "Servatis a periculum, servatis a maleficum," which is Latin for "Save us from danger, save us from evil," as stated by the official Evanescence website.
