Whiskeytown Falls
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Whiskeytown Falls is a three-tiered waterfall with a total elevation of 220 feet, located in northern California's Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Despite its size, it was largely unknown until 2005, having been improperly mapped decades before. Please note: The trail leading to the falls is currently under construction and closed to the public. NPS estimates opening the trail to the lower falls and the trails to the upper falls and viewpoints in the late summer of 2006. (see Official NPS page for details)
