WHIS is a radio station in Bluefield, WV. WHIS is the oldest radio station in Bluefield and the fifth-oldest radio station in West Virginia. The station is owned by Adventure Radio / Triad Broadcasting (formerly Monterey Licenses, LLC), along with WHAJ, WHKX, WHQX, WKOY, WKQY, WTZE, WBDY, and WKEZ.

WHIS began broadcasting in June 1929. The call letters contain the initials of Hugh Ike Shott, whose sons, Jim and Hugh, Jr, started the station. WHIS operates on 1440kHz with a daytime power of 5KW and nighttime power of .5KW. The station operates a non-directional tranmitting plant on Harry Heights Road, less than one mile north of the city limits of Bluefield. The studios are located at 900 Bluefield Ave, Bluefield WV.

WHIS simulcasts at 1470 AM as WTZE serving Tazewell, Virginia.
