Talk:White schnauzer

[edit] Copyrighted text?
The article says "The following copyrighted article/excerpts on the history and Coat Color Inheritance in the White Miniature Schnauzer has been reprinted by permission by Karin Rice of Rice's Miniature Schnauzers". It seems like an excessively large block of text (it takes up most of the article) to be quoting from a copyrighted source, even if it is with permission. Wikipedia is supposed to be largely GFDL licensed, but three quarters of this article are copyrighted. That section can easily be rewriten (and should be, it completely contradicts and ignores the manual of style). I'm not entirely sure that a lecture on genetics is within the scope of this article. On a slightly different subject, this article seems to be quite pro-white schnauzer (using such phrases as "ignorantly thought..." or "ignorance rumors" or "some people claim by their fictitious pedigree", all of which violate WP:WTA). For the time being I'm not tagging it for NPOV violations, but that may change. --Pharaoh Hound (talk) 13:44, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
