The music video for When in Rome was directed by Dean Karr, and produced by Arthur Gorson. The entire video was filmed under an overpass. Sara Watkins said that this album was "sonically darker", and her point is shown, as all of the scenes showing the band were in black and white. Chris Thile said after watching the final product, "That's awesome!".
