"When You Told Me You Loved Me" was set to be the third single from Jessica Simpson's 2nd album Irresistible. It was planned to be a double-A side single with "A Little Bit", but due to the failure of the latter track, Columbia Records cancelled the release. However, promotional CDs featuring Soul Solution/Plasmic Honey remixes was released to DJs.
