"From This Moment On" (1998) |
"When" is a song by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the second UK release from her 1997 album Come on Over. The song was written by Mutt Lange and Shania Twain. The song was originally released in the summer of 1998. It was the only one of the twelve singles off of Come on Over to not be released to the United States. It was released to Canada however, as a pop single in February 2000. Twain has admitted that this is her favorite song off the album.[1] The song was included in the Come on Over Tour and in a medley for the Up! Tour. "When" is also the theme song for the Japanese drama Cheap Love.

[edit] Music video
The music video for "When" was shot in New York City, and directed by Markus Blunder. It was released in the UK in August of 1998, and played once in the Unites States on CMT's Video Bio for Twain. The video starts with Twain dying and becoming an angel, and then she goes around New York City. Although the video was released only to Europe, the 'Original Album Version' is used, which is more "country". "When" is the only video from Twain's first three albums to not be included on the DVD The Platinum Collection.
