Wheels of Steel is the second studio album by heavy metal band Saxon released in 1980 (see 1980 in music).
This album marks a milestone among the NWOBHM scene and metal in general, and it stands as a classic album of 1980, alongside albums such as Judas Priest's British Steel and Iron Maiden's self-titled debut album.
Considered "one of the best NWOBHM albums ever released"[citation needed], Wheels of Steel sparks memorable hits such as "Motorcycle Man", "747 (Strangers in the Night)" and the title track.
