Wheaton Aston is a village in Staffordshire, England about 15 km south west of Stafford and 12 km west of Cannock. It is located beside Bridge 19 of the Shropshire Union Canal.

It has a population of several thousand people according to the latest British Survey. It has good transport links making it an ideal commuter village to the large cities of the Midlands. Junction 12 of the M6 motorway is only 5 miles away. This provides quick access to Birmingham, Walsall and Wolverhampton whilst easy access to the M54, A449 and A5 provide access to Stafford, Cannock, Telford and Shrewsbury.

Although in the heart of the South Staffs countryside there are many amenities for the local population including two pubs, The Hartley Arms and the Coach and Horses (which also provides accommodation for a Chinese take-away), an Indian Restaurant (The Ivory Cottage), a post office, paper shop, general store, a garage-cum-chandlery-cum-hardware shop (Turners), a motor engineers (Hinsley's) and a couple of farms (The Bridge and Whitegates) who also sell their produce direct to the public.

It has a music festival, the Wheaton Aston Festival now in its sixth year, which, one day, hopes to rival the Glastonbury Festival.

Wheaton Aston hosts a once yearly running race, the Roman 10k, named because of Wheaton Aston's proximity to the A5 which is a well known Roman road (Watling Street). Held usually on the 27th of December the race attracts approximately 500 runners from around the County.
