Whatever It Takes is a 2000 teen comedy starring Marla Sokoloff, Shane West, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, and James Franco. The film is based on the play Cyrano de Bergerac.

The story of the film is about Ryan Woodman (West) and Maggie Carter (Sokoloff), best friends and neighbors. Ryan pines for Ashley (O'Keefe), the popular girl at the school. Chris (Franco), her cousin, offers to help Ryan get the girl. The only thing asked for in return is that Ryan helps Chris win the affection of Maggie.

- Shane West, who played Ryan, had a similar character in A Walk To Remember When his character Landon starts to fall in love with Mandy Moore's character Jamie.
