"What Kind of Fool (Heard All That Before)" is a pop–dance song written by Mike Stock, Pete Waterman and Kylie Minogue for Minogue's first compilation album Greatest Hits (1992). It was produced by Stock and Waterman and received a generally positive reception from critics. Released as the first single in the summer of 1992 (see 1992 in music), it became Minogue's nineteenth top-twenty hit in the UK and fifteenth in Australia. The single's video recreated scenes made famous by Brigitte Bardot in the 1956 film And God Created Woman. The song contains jittery synths and drum machine beats.
