What Do You Know, Deutschland? is a 1986 album by KMFDM. Indicative of the band's early style, the music is relatively crude, with a strong drum beat and synthesizer. The title track is a lengthy montage of spliced samples parodying US involvement in Europe post World War II. The songs on What Do You Know, Deutschland? are rarely played live. The album was recorded in Hamburg, Germany.
Originally released by Z Records in Germany in 1986, the album was re-released, with several additional tracks but without "Conillon", in 1987 by SkySaw Records in the United Kingdom. In 1991, Wax Trax! Records released What Do You Know, Deutschland? in the United States without "Zip" but with the additional tracks "Lufthans" and "Itchy Bitchy (Dance Version)".
A digitally remastered reissue of What Do You Know, Deutschland? was released September 12, 2006, along with 1988's Don't Blow Your Top and 1989's UAIOE. The re-release includes the track "Zip", marking the first time all tracks from the various versions of the album were available together on the same disc.
