Wharf Road

Wharf Road (Chinese: 和富道) is a road parallel to the north shore of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It is situated in North Point. It ends east in Tong Shui Road and joins west with City Garden Road.
The road named after a wharf owned by a precursor of Hutchison Whampoa. The wharf and godown was redeveloped into a private housing estate Provident Centre.
In 2001, ICAC intended to built a new headquarters at the east end of the road near Tong Shui Road. It was replaced with a football pitch because it is too close to residential blocks. The decision caused that North Point residents lost a football pitch amidst the highrise buildings.
