Whangateau is an area of the New Zealand town called Leigh. Whangateau is made up of 2 suburbs, these are Upper Whangateau and Whangateau Waterfront. Located off the Omaha Harbour in Rodney District, on the North Shore of the Auckland Region. Whangateau is under governance of the Rodney District Council.
