WFAS

WFAS is a radio station based in White Plains, NY. The station primarily serves Westchester County, but can be heard in New York City, Northern New Jersey, Southern Connecticut, and Rockland County in New York.

WFAS is Westchester's heritage radio station. Once independently owned and operated, WFAS went through a series of corporate ownerships in the 1990s. Among the companies once owning WFAS were Commodore Meida, Atlantic Star Communications, Capstar Broadcasting, Westchester Radio, Aurora Communications, and Cumulus Media.

WFAS has two stations: WFAS-FM broadcasts at 103.9 FM, playing Adult Contemporary Hits. WFAS-AM broadcasts at 1230 AM, playing Soft Adult Hits and Oldies. WFAS-FM is the number one station in Westchester, focusing on at-work listening.
