Wettringen is a village in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the northern part of the state.
It is located on the river Steinfurter Aa in the region Münsterland and the district of Steinfurt. Population: 8,112 (01/08/2005). Wettringen was first mentioned in the year 838.
