Wet Beaver Wilderness

Wet Beaver Wilderness Area preserves 6,700 acres of Beaver Creek Canyon in the Coconino National Forest. The main trailhead for Wet Beaver is located about 2 miles east of the Sedona exit from I-17, near the Beaver Creek Ranger Station.
The Bell Trail, a historic stock trail, follows Beaver Creek upstream for about 3 miles, then climbs steeply up to the Mogollon Rim.
The popular Beaver Creek campground (USFS, fee) is located at the creek crossing, just below the ranger station. A pleasant free picnic area is nearby.
Wet Beaver Creek, a perennial stream, has one major tributary, Dry Beaver Creek; the confluence is at McGuireville, Arizona. Beaver Creek flows past Montezuma Well and Montezuma Castle, and joins the Verde River near Camp Verde, Arizona.
