Westmoreland Intermediate Unit

This organization is located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and represents all of the schools of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This group annually holds a picnic on the Friday before Memorial Day at Idlewild Park. They also represent the following school districts: Belle Vernon Area, Burrell, Derry Area, Franklin Regional, Greater Latrobe, Greensburg Salem, Hempfield Area, Jeannette City, Kiski Area, Ligonier Valley, Mount Pleasant Area, Monessen City, New Kensington-Arnold, Norwin, Penn Trafford, Southmoreland, and Yough School Districts.

There are a few schools that are special education, such as Autism: Clairview School, located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Clelian Heights, also located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania; West Point Elementary School, a Hempfield Area School District elementary school in Greensburg; and Wendover Middle School, another Hempfield Area School District school in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
