Westfield is a traditional powerhouse in cross country, with state championships in 1963, 1966, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1995, and 1996. This also includes an all-group championship in 1976. The team is headed by Coach Jack Martin who is assisted by Chris Tafelski. In 2006 the team had a very successful year by winning the Watchung Conference and Union County team titles. The team also finished 2nd in the North Jersey Section 2 Group 4 race and 9th in the State Group 4 meet. The boys also were undefeated in their dual meet matches in '06. The team consists of around 100 boys who run mainly at Tamaques Park in Westfield and Warinaco Park in Elizabeth. 2007 again looks to be a good one for the Blue Devils as they return 5 varsity runners.

Matt Elmuccio- won State Group 4 individual title in 1996

Jeffrey Perrella- won Union County, Watchung Conference, North Jersey Section 2 Group 4, and State Group 4 individual titles in 2005. Also finished 3rd at MOC and qualified for Nationals.
