Westfield Centrepoint
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Westfield owns the current shopping centre featured underneath the well known Sydney Tower, known to many as Centrepoint Tower, or as the name of the centre suggests simply Centrepoint. The centre features over 140 stores and direct connections to Australia's two major department stores Myer and David Jones, as well as the Imperial Arcade which features the central business district's only Angus & Robertson.
[edit] Redevelopment
There are plans in the future to integrate the neighbouring Imperial Arcade and Skygarden.[1] The redevelopment is mainly concerned with improving centre design and quality, rather than more stores. The cost is expected to be $600 million[2]. The development is due to commence soon, when stage 2 approval is granted.
