The Western Pond Turtle (Actinemys marmorata) is a small to medium-sized turtle growing to approximately 20 cm in carapace length. It is limited to the west coast of the United States of America and Mexico, ranging from western Washington state to northern Baja California. It may also have been found in southwestern British Columbia, Canada, but if so it is now extirpated from Canada. Until recently, this species was considered a member of the genus Clemmys. It is now the sole member of its genus.
