The Western International Market market in Hounslow, in West London, England is one of the principal wholesale markets in the London region. It is owned by the London Borough of Hounslow and covers 86 acres. The current market was built in 1974. It is close to Heathrow Airport and acts as a conduit for fresh produce airlifted to Heathrow to reach the retail and catering trades. As of 2005 plans to expand the market are at the consultation stage as part of a wider review of London's wholesale markets.
