The Western Bluebill Spermophaga haematina is a common species of estrildid finch found in Africa. It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 1,900,000 km².
It is found in Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
