WHS is not particularly known for sports talent. Other than Field Hockey, Boys Soccer and Boys Swimming, the 06-07 season is looking like it always is - bottom of the standings. Hockey is in 8th place and will be going to playoffs, despite the coaches who are poison to the program and players, and both Basketball teams have improved greatly since last season.

The Westbrook High School Bell Ringers are a group of ten student-athletes that perform throughout southern Maine with a set of 44 Dutch hand bells. The group has been a staple of the school community since the early 1960's.

Westbrook High School was previously located on Main Street in downtown Westbrook. The school moved to its current location in the 1950's. The school underwent an extensive renovation in 1992.
