The West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx are a minor league baseball team based in Jackson, Tennessee. It is the Class AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, and plays in the Southern League.
The Diamond Jaxx play in Pringles Park, a 6,000-capacity facility that opened in 1998. The Diamond Jaxx have had marginal success in their history with only one Southern League Championship in 2000. In 1999, the Jaxx played in the Southern League Championship, but were defeated three-games-to-one by the Orlando Rays. It was the same story when the Jaxx got into the Southern League Divisional Series and was defeated three-games-to-two by the Birmingham Barons. Following two, decent years record wise, they had their best regular season record in 2005 but ultimately fell short of a second championship in game 4 of the championship series to the Jacksonville Suns. Though the team considered a move to South Carolina after the 2005 season, citing financial problems, they recently signed a three-year lease to play at Pringles Park through the 2008 season.
