West Penn Allegheny Health System (WPAHS) is the second-largest provider of healthcare in metropolitan Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
It competes against much-larger UPMC. Allegheny General Hospital in the city's North Side is the flagship of WPAHS but the system also includes the large Western Pennsylvania Hospital (often called "West Penn Hospital") in the city's Bloomfield neighborhood, as well as smaller community hospitals in the suburbs. These include Allegheny General Suburban Campus (formerly Suburban General Hospital) in Bellevue, Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights/Harrison Township, Canonsburg General Hospital in Canonsburg, and Western Pennsylvania Hospital Forbes Regional Campus (shortened to "West Penn Forbes Regional" and formerly simply Forbes Regional Hospital) in Monroeville.
