West Kent College

West Kent College (formerly West Kent College for Further Education) is a college of Further and Higher Education based at Brook Street (satellite photomap), Tonbridge. The Principal is Bill Fearon.
It has a Partner College status with the University of Greenwich.

The main campus in Tonbridge teaches a large number of courses on a wide range of subjects at A-level: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Fine Art, Biology, Business Studies, Computing, Critical Thinking, English Language, English Literature, Film Studies, Modern Culture and Society, Geography, Graphic Design, History, Law, Mathematics, Media Studies, Physical Education, Photography, Physics, Politics (Government and Politics), Psychology, Science in the Media, Sociology, Textiles, Chemistry, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Portuguese, Textiles, Geology, Law, Psychology, Sociology and Interior Design.

The college runs a Construction-orientated teaching centre on Unit 10, Kings Standing Way in the North Farm Industrial Estate in Tunbridge Wells called the Construction Crafts & Engineering Centre.
The college closed all its IT outreach centres in July 2006. These had been in Crowborough, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.

The college computer administration maintains a content-control software system using Websense which blocks websites according to several categories, including "Chat", "Blogs", "Forums", "Dating/Personals", "Sexually explicit material" and "Criminal activity".
