West Hobart is an inner-city suburb of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It is located in the hills immediately west of the CBD.
Knocklofty Hill is one of the higher hills in the area.
Many of the houses in the area are older federation era buildings, which are quite expensive due to their views over the Derwent River.
There is also a new housing development area now being built in the hills that look down on the rest of the suburb and on the whole city of Hobart.
