West Hampstead tube station is a London Underground station at West Hampstead, NW6 2LS, on West End Lane between Broadhurst Gardens and Blackburn Road. It is on the Jubilee Line, situated between Kilburn and Finchley Road. It is in Travelcard Zone 2 and is 200 m from West Hampstead railway station. The Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Main Line pass alongside the station (see photo, right), but there are no platforms on either line.
It originally opened 30 June 1879 as part of the Metropolitan Line. From November 20, 1939 it was on the Stanmore branch of the Bakerloo Line and was transferred to the Jubilee Line in 1979.
The station is not accessible by wheelchair. Other facilities include 1 automatic ticket machine, 2 quick ticket machines, 1 ticket booth, countdown timers, a waiting room and both male and female toilets.
