[edit] Boundaries
The new boundaries of this seat are based much more on the Chelmsford's more urban centre, and as a result, this has seen the seat become a much better prospect for the Liberal Democrats as the more Conservative leaning rural wards no longer form part of the constituency. The seat is still notionally Conservative, but now becomes a top Liberal Democrat target.
