West Asian Football Federation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The West Asian Football Federation, or WAFF, is an association of the football playing nations in Western Asia. Its members are Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. They organise the West Asian Football Federation Championship which the above 6 nations enter, with some invitees which are not part of the federation, but in the same region of Asia.

Some West Asian nations enter the Gulf Cup of Nations, who are Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Yemen. These nations are not technically part of the federation but are in the same region.
