Wesley Theological Seminary

Located in Washington, D.C., Wesley Theological Seminary is one of the largest Mainline Protestant seminaries in the world. Founded in 1882, Wesley’s graduates are in ministry in all 50 states and in 20 countries as leaders of the church and other service organizations. Though almost 60 percent of the seminary's students are United Methodist, 40 percent come from 30 different denominations. Forty-four percent of students are African American, Hispanic, Asian or other ethnic minority.
Wesley offers Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Master of Theological Studies, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Wesley offers a dual degree - Master of Theological Studies with Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution - in cooperation with American University. Additionally, the seminary provides programs for clergy and lay members.
